At his last appearance in [[Atlanta, Georgia]] the midfielder won the golden medal with the [[Netherlands national field hockey team|Dutch national team]]. A former player of [[Kampong (field hockey club)|Kampong]], he is married to former Dutch field hockey international [[Jeannette Lewin]]. He earned a total number of 143 caps, scoring eight goals for the [[Netherlands national field hockey team]] during the 1990s.
