Stamford High School is one of the worst public schools in the state of Connecticut. Many students fear their safety while walking down the overcrowded hallways of the school. Hardly any learning takes place in this supposed academic institution. However, miraculously, Stamford graduates some of the greatest young minds in country. One can assume that this was NOT because of their experiences at Stamford.

Stamford High School, created in 1874, is the oldest high school in Stamford, Connecticut. Its cross-town rival is Westhill High School. Stamford High's colors are black and orange, and its logo is the black knight. Famous alumni of the school include Senator Joseph Lieberman.

The school boasts numerous extracurricular activities including the Strawberry Hill Players theatre troupe, Mock Trial and Debate Clubs, Student Liaisons to the Board of Education, many multicultural groups, and chapters of the FBLA, National Honor Society, and DECA.

Stamford High is located in downtown Stamford, on Strawberry Hill Avenue, down the street from popular student eatery John's Pizza.

Stamford High's halls have in recent years been adorned with numerous paintings by students, depicting various figures including the black knight mascot. The school's cafeteria is decorated on one wall by a large mural of the school's facade and scenes of student life, painted in 1997 by members of the Strawberry Hill Players' technical crew. Murals from the 1930's also adorn the "small auditorium" in Stamford High, having been uncovered and restored in the 1990's.
