The Cercle artistique de Luxembourg or CAL, founded in 1893 as Cercle artistique luxembourgeois, is an association which brings together artists of all types with a view to supporting artistic work and art education in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.[1][2]

The founding members were Michel Engels and Pierre Blanc and Franz Heidenstein who was the association's first president ((1893–99). Since 1896, the Salon du CAL exhibition has been held each year.[1] Among Luxembourg's prominent artists who exhibited at the salon were Dominique Lang, Emile Kirscht and Michel Stoffel and the sculptor Claus Cito.[3][4]
