[[My name is Michael L. Emerson, a resident of the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California. I bought into the San Jose Rhinos Professional Roller Hocky team after the team's 1st year. I was one of the minority owners for its second season when the Rhinos beat the Montreal Roadrunners for the World Professional Roller Skating Murphy Cup Championship in 1995. The Rhinos were in the playoffs every season that the RHI league was in operation and I feel we would have won many more championships if the league would have survived. Although we had a very good turnout to our games, and a growing following with every game played, the other teams in the league did not get the fans in the stands they needed to keep the league solvent. In addition the League was not run by the owners as the NFL does and they did a very poor job in attracting TV, Radio and Sponsorship deals so after just 4-5 seasons the League actually went bankrupty taking the RHI teams under with them. I believe that if the owners had run the leeague it would have florished and we would be still a viable and strong league today. It is my hope that maybe one day the League will be restarted as the Arena Football League was restarted. GO RHINOS !! ]].
