==Biography==
He was born in Olinda, he was son of Olindian Genebra Manelli Cavalcanti de Albuquerque and Felippe de Moura, Captain of Pernambuco. He was grandson of the master of engineering [[Filippo Cavalcanti]] and great-grandson of the colonial adminnstrator [[Jerónimo de Albuquerque]].<ref name="BRASILHIS"/>

In 1622, he was a colonial governor of Cape Verde.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.rulers.org/rulc1.html#Cabo_Verde|title=Cape Verde|website=rulers.org}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.worldstatesmen.org/Cape_Verde.html|title=Cape Verde|website=worldstatesmen.org}}</ref> He succeeded Francisco de Moura who was either related or not related. He was succeeded by [[Manuel Afonso de Guerra]].

In 1625, he commanded a fleet of ships from the Captaincy of Pernambuco which that joined with the Luso-Spanish Fleet during the Dutch Invasion of Brazil that kicked out the Dutch from [[Salvador de Bahia]]. Later that year, he was nominated Governor-General of the State of Brazil by the Governor of Pernambuco and Governor-General [[Matias de Albuquerque, Count of Alegrete|Matias de Albuquerque]].<ref>{{cite web|url=https://www.ebiografia.com/matias_de_albuquerque/|title=Biography of Matias de Albuquerque|publisher=eBiografia|language=pt|accessdate=9 June 2017}}</ref>

He later spent his remainder of his life in Lisbon in continental Portugal, where he later died in 1657.

Francisco de Moura Rolim (Olinda, 1580 – Lisbon, 1657) was a Portuguese colonial administrator in Brazil.[1][2] He was appointed as governor-general of Bahía in 1625 by Matias de Albuquerque.[1] He was succeeded by Diogo Luiz de Oliveira in 1626.[2] He died in Lisbon in 1657.[1]
