Talkaudio

Hi Brookie,

Thanks for your message regarding Talkaudio, I will not recreate the page yet, but can can point me in the direction of what your A-7 code means so I can remedy the situation? :)

Cheers BladeUK 16:44, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rich - any article must establish the notability of its subject - A7 is a seedy deletion criteria for an article that doesn't do that. Have a look at Wikipedia:Notability - if you can establish some notability have another go. Good luck and be bold! Also please sign your posts with ~~~~ or use the sugnature icon in the edit toolbar. Hi Brookie, thanks for your help with this, I believe I have remedied this and will recreate the page :)

It's ba-a-a-a-a-a-ack!

I still find it nonnotable. - CobaltBlueTony 17:33, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

BladeUK (talk · contribs) continues to insist that it is notable, on my talk page, most recently. So, if it does come back, shall we give it a proper burial through {{AfD}}? - CobaltBlueTony 16:24, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes - I think so - life is too short! Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp ! (Whisper...) 16:50, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why

I searched on RIata Energy and found no entry, so I added one. Why did you delete it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nobuddy (talkcontribs)

It was an advert and failed to establish notability. Read the guidelines to get a feel for what you can and can't do Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp ! (Whisper...)

Template

I was just wondering if you can point me in the direction of how to view a template/create one? More specifically, I'm looking to personalize the subst:User:Brookie/Warning template so that I can use it (it's the best I've seen!) Thanks! Bgold4 17:52, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, it was an article I was unsure about - there are so many nonsense and pointless biographical articles created I was unsure if this was one of them! UKWiki 19:38, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On October 23, 2006, you deleted DJ Webstar as a CSD A7-repost. For nearly a month and a half, the article was constantly being re-deleted under CSD recreation criteria and it was eventually recreation-protected by Can't sleep, clown will eat me. I just want to let you know that there was an AfD for this article, and I closed it on October 19, 2006 after a consensus of "Speedy Keep" was reached (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/DJ Webstar). I'm guessing you missed this AfD or something, and that's why you deleted the article, so that's why I came here just to let you know. Nishkid64 23:02, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note - October was a long time ago! Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp ! (Whisper...) 15:21, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Data

I'm trying to convert graphs that had been uploaded in formats other than SVG (for more info, see the project's page). One of the graphs is Image:BeestonPop.GIF, which you created. Do you have the actual population data that was used to make this chart? If you do, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. --W. Thanks a lot! I should have the new graph finished soon. --W. Flake ( talk | contribs ) 21:35, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
In case you're interested, the new version of the graph can be found at Image:Population_of_Beeston,_Nottinghamshire.svg. Thanks again. --W. Flake ( talk | contribs ) 00:50, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Talkaudio Deletion

Hello, thanks for your comments on my Talk page. I saw that you deleted the "Talkaudio" Wikipedia page, and believe that the page does have a right to exist. There was a "Notability" tag on the article which I removed as I believe I had established Notability in the article, was this a mistake?

In summary, reasons for noteability:-

- Coverage by "The Telegraph" in November 2004 (UK National newspaper article)
- Coverage by "Total Car Audio" (UK Car Audio magazine with national distribution
- Coverage of several members vehicles by "Fast Car Magazine" including references to Talkadio
- Coverage of several members vehicles by "Max Power Magazine" including references to Talkadio

These are all independent periodical publications.

I would appreciate it if the article could be re-instated, and welcome your help, comments and suggestions for the page.

Cheers --BladeUK 16:24, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there - I'm afraid it still read like a fanzine push rather than an article for an encyclopedia - is the 500th most important forum realy that notable? Try looking at articles for some similar type fora and see how they are worded etc - and then see if the article can be improved and made to read less like an advert! Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp ! (Whisper...) 16:38, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I see, thanks for your help. In the meantime, is there a way I can look at the last version of the Talkaudio page? I don't know how to access it now its gone...

It ought to be, IMHO. Permanently, also IMHO. A user watching the page just said it's been on and off semi-protection before. Pretty tempting to the Wikilarva. ,:) David Spalding (  ) 16:44, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Commander David Johnston

Hiya, I was wondering as you put a lot of bio info in for a couple of the coppers on the Suffolk Murder investigation, if you could set up an article for the guy above who is head of the Scotaldn yard murder squad and who has advised Suffolk Police. I started one but it was deled! Ta, rob77

I've recreated it for you - so please expand asap. Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp ! (Whisper...) 17:57, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
