Googoosh, Safavids, Babak

Is there any reason why you feel the need to remove sourced information? Khoikhoi 22:01, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Because it is not true. I also have hundreds of sources I can post. Why was the previous "sourced" information removed? There is more than enough evidence that proves the Safavids and Babek were Persians.

You are a Kurd so why is it so important for you to deny their heritage. Do you forget that Kurds are Iranians too and your closest relatives are Persians!!

According to WP:V, "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth." If you can find reliable sources that say they were Persian, please add them to the article. However, Encyclopædia Iranica seems like a good source to me, so there's no need to delete it. BTW, I'm not Kurdish. Khoikhoi 22:12, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There were previously many sources in the article that proved the Safavids were Persian but they were removed by ultra nationalistic turks....Encyclopedia Iranica says that the Safavids were a mix of Persian and "Azari" heritage BUT the only official state language of Iran during their reign was Persian. Also the culture of Iran was especially "Persian" during their time. Just look at Esfahan or the architecture and writing from that era.
