The Reef: Stalked is an upcoming Australian horror film written and directed by Andrew Traucki. A sequel to The Reef, the film stars Teressa Liane, Ann Truong, Saskia Archer, Kate Lister, and Tim Ross. The Reef: Stalked is set to be released simultaneously in theaters and VOD by RLJE Films and Shudder on July 29, 2022.

Premise

The film follows Annie who goes on a kayaking and diving adventure with friends following the murder of her sister. The group's vacation quickly becomes a fight for survival, when a large great white shark begins to follow and attack them.[1]

Development

In November 2020, it was announced that a sequel to The Reef was in development, with Andrew Traucki as director and writer.[1] By May 2022, Teressa Liane, Ann Truong, Saskia Archer, Kate Lister, and Tim Ross were cast, while Neal Kingston, Michael Robertson, Jack Christian and Traucki will serve as producers.[2]

Filming

Principal photography began on June 10, 2021 in Australia.[3] Production was originally scheduled to commence in late-2020, for a release in the summer of 2021.[1]

Release

The Reef: Stalked is set to be released simultaneously in theaters and VOD by RLJE Films and Shudder on July 29, 2022.[2][4]
