Strathearn is a grammar school situated in Belfast in Northern Ireland, attended by about 750 girls aged 11-18. Details of the curriculum and activities which we offer are found in the school's prospectus. The staff and the Board of Governors work together to make

Strathearn a community where each individual can belong, be happy, valued and secure. The general ethos of the school is one of success and undoubtedly that helps the girls raise their level of expectation. The members of staff have a pivotal role in this through their knowledge, skills, personalities and most importantly relationships with the pupils and one another. Heads of Department and teaching staff have worked diligently to make the learning accessible to each girl, and they have been ably assisted by teams of support staff who give of their best to create the right environment for success.

The grounds include sports facilities and pitches for hockey and athletics as well as many mature trees. These surround the front lawn and provide a pleasant physical environment for the work of the school. The sports hall has facilities for many activities such as gymnastics, badminton, 5-a-side soccer and basketball.

The Preparatory Department Penrhyn is a few hundred yards from the main school.

The "Capital Fee" is currently £80 per annum. The Governors also request a payment of £150 per annum to be used for whole school activities, resources and premises as necessary. This is known as a payment to the "Contingency Fund".
