As a member of WikiProject Comics, I thought you might be interested in the Comics Collaboration of the Fortnight we have set up. Please feel free to vote on the articles listed, although bear in mind that a vote for a particular article means you are pledging to help improve the article. The goal of the collaboration is to improve articles to Featured Article status, as we feel Comics is under-represented in that area. Thanks for your help. Image Tagging Image:Max-thumb.gif

Warning sign
This image may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Max-thumb.gif. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairusein|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Rossrs 17:03, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

fair use?

I tagged the image fair use, as it conforms with "Cover art from various items, for identification and critical commentary (not for identification without critical commentary)" as least insofar as I understand it.

List of deities of Dungeons & Dragons

Nice work on the devils on List of deities of Dungeons & Dragons. Thanks for the hand. -Harmil 04:04, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, since I started this project to <ref> all of the gods on that page, my tactic has roughly been this: if a being of "deity or deity-like stats" is described in any 3.5 material (or 3.0 stuff that wasn't re-published), then I include them. The key word there is described. In some cases names are used, such as Heward's Handy Haversack, but that's not a description, so I don't include him.
Sadly, the table at the end of FC1 is rather in the middle. It gives some small detail, but is mostly just a listing of names. I'd say that if you can find an old (pre-3.0) description of any of those that actually suggests that they're deity-level powerful, then they should probably go in the deities page, but if not, then it's clear that some of these are not quite there. For example, Gresil is more of a librarian from the description, there. -Harmil 12:34, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sati (practice)

Check it out, Em.Ford MF 19:20, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the prompt, you'll see I took your suggestion. I just feel like a bit of a newbie still on this site and I don't like to be too pre-emptive. It was really necessary, though. And the way it's been removed leaves the door open for a less-unwieldly version to be reinserted. Cheers! Anchoress 05:01, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hexblade and Warmage

I don't think there's any reason to insist upon nomenclature consistency in these articles' titles (Hexblade and Warmage), but if you want to pursue it, please request a page move on Wikipedia:Requested moves, but please do not just copy and paste the contents (doing that destroys the page's edit history). -- JHunterJ 17:30, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, I edited your note on my talk page to put a colon in the category link. That way you hed it, you put my talk page into that category. :-). Putting a colon after the square brackets will do what you wanted: [[:Category:whatevers]]. -- JHunterJ 18:09, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Arg! Putting my own article in [[:Category:dork]] starting now. Once again with the thanks for the pointers.

FYI, since you participated in the earlier move proposal discussion: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Role-playing games#Naming conventions -- JHunterJ 17:18, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up; I re-iterated the consensus of the previous discussions. My personal æsthetic preference might be otherwise, but consensus & (more to the point) policy seem otherwise. Thanks for the heads-up. --mordicai. 17:46, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

American Fascist Party

you should join americanfascistmovement.com americanfascistparty.com (Dormantfascist 01:23, 30 September 2006 (UTC))[reply]

I appreciate the sentiment, but my identification as fascist is mostly a statement of how I value ideology over individual, & less a statement about nationalism. -mordicai. 03:09, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Nyai Loro Kidul (aka her many other names) would be pleased that you added that, she will no doubt think of you kindly :) ,,, oh and her redirect, as well SatuSuro 23:56, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Glad you appreciated the edit; I'm new to the topic of Javanese mythology, but it certainly has tickled an interest. --mordicai. 04:30, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wars on SotC

I'm convinced it's all the same person. -- Steel 23:52, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A plausible theory. Ah the joys of those who refuse to accept consensus. --mordicai. 00:57, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The "ironically" that one user posted wasn't about getting lymphoma per se, but about getting "T-cell" lymphoma. Funny in a morbid sort of way, although I wouldn't argue for overtly stating that in the article; the readers could make that spurious connection if they wanted to. Wahkeenah 16:42, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That actually is pretty funny. Its inclusion or exclusion from the article doesn't bother me at all, now that I "get" it. It probably isn't appropriate tone, but thanks for the heads up. --mordicai. 16:46, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The way I've seen to get around the over-use of "ironically" is to say "coincidentally", which serves to call attention to it while not making any assumptions about whether it's "funny" or not, humor being in the eye of the beholder. For example, since I don't know Mr. T personally, I can't say whether he would find it funny. It's possible, given his willingness to parody his own character for commerical reasons, but wouldn't count on it in this case. Wahkeenah 17:43, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't say Toolbox or I'll get confused

Just a heads-up: {{fact}} does the same thing as {{citation needed}}, and is much easier to remember I think. Ford MF 07:12, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Huh, that explains some real confusion I've had on a few articles. I'd seen the tags & kind of thought they were <!-- style imbeded notation for editors. I always really hated them. Now of course they make sense, but personally, I still like {{cite needed}} for actually saying what it means. I mean, if "fact" fooled me, I'm going to go with the alternative. --mordicai. 19:11, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Claire Bennet

I didn't add that category, but I believe it makes sense as she is the daughter of Nathan Petrelli, who I believe is Italian American WookMuff 20:14, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See, that is the logical leap I was looking for. That is a very reasonable assertation; I just saw the cat re-added after a revert, without an explanation. I'm going to put it back in then. Good looking out. --mordicai. 20:41, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for being completely reasonable :) Good looking out for random adding of seemingly incongruous facts! WookMuff 21:00, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
