Seaside High School is a secondary school located in Seaside, California. The school first opened in 1963. Average annual enrollment is 1,400 students, attending grades 9–12. The school serves the communities of Monterey, Marina, Sand City, Seaside, and Del Rey Oaks. The school mascot is the Spartan. Seaside's rival is Monterey High School. The football game between these two High Schools has been nicknamed the "Battle of the Bays" and attracts nearly 5,000 people (extremely rare for a Northern California High School football game).

Culture - As one of the most culturally diverse High Schools in the United States, Seaside High School is home to dozens of ethnic classes. Bay Area Hip-Hop and Rap are the dominant music choices.

Seaside High School also has Norteno, Sureno, and Crip gang members enrolled, although gang fights are at a minimal.

In 2006, the Seaside Spartans won the local CCS Small-Division Championship Football Match against the Pacific Grove Breakers. Famous Seaside High graduates include Ron Rivera, the defensive Coach for the Chicago Bears.
