Edward S. Rogers III

Edward Rogers is President for Rogers Cable Communications Inc. From October 2000 until December 2002, Edward served as Senior Vice President, Planning and Strategy, for Rogers Communications Inc. In this capacity, he was directly responsible for directing and coordinating strategic planning, strategic relationships, as well as business and product development. From November 1998 until September 2000, Edward served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Toronto region, representing 850,000 customers for Rogers Cable Inc. In this capacity, he was responsible for financial performance, sales performance and customer satisfaction. His responsibilities included Sales, Marketing, Customer Communications, Call Centre Operations and Technical Operations. From March 1996 until November 1998, Edward served as Vice President & General Manager of Paging, Data and Emerging Technologies for Rogers Wireless. His accomplishments at Rogers Wireless included increasing the profitably of the Paging division and the launch of Canada’s only narrowband packet data network, including such applications as wireless email, wireless internet access, wireless point-of-sale, wireless e-commerce and telemetry. Prior to Rogers Wireless, he served as Director of Sales for Rogers Cable Inc., responsible for retail, audit sales and sales administration. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario, Edward spent 2 ½ years with Comcast Corporation, a U.S. cable and cellular company, out of Philadelphia, U.S.A. His U.S. experience covered sales, marketing, new product development and strategic planning. Edward is also on the Board of Directors for Rogers Communications Inc., Futureway Communications Inc. and Rogers Sportsnet.
