Camilo González
Camilo Gonzalez Posso was one of the leaders of the Colombian section of the Unified Secretariat of the Fourth International. With his brother Dario Gonzalez he became a leading member of the Bolshevik Faction led by Nahuel Moreno. He took part in the Simon Bolivar Brigade episode of the Nicaraguan Revolution of 1979. He joined the Parity Committee for the Reconstruction of the Fourth International with the Bolshevik Faction and stayed with its Lambertist wing. He was a leading member of the Fourth International, International Centre of Reconstruction until 1987. From 1984 he took part in peace negotiations involving the guerilla organisations in Colombia and was one of the coordinators of the Mandate for Peace which received 10 million votes in 1997 and called for a peace initiative seeking the end of the civil war and social justice in Colombia. He was elected Minister of State for Health and is now the President of the Institute for Peace and Development.[1] Category:Trotskyism, Politics of Colombia
