Evolved from surf band The Sunsets in 1967 and based on Sydney's northern beaches.
History
The original lineup and the one featured on the first album was:
- Lindsay Bjerre (vocals,guitar)
- Peter Barren (bass)
- Dannie Davidson (drums)
- Alez 'Zac' Zytnik (guitar)
Other members:
- Tim Gaze (vocals,guitar) - replaced Zytnik in 1970
- Nigel Macara (drums) - replaced Davidson in 1971
- Larry Duryrea aka Larry Taylor (percussion) 1971-72
- Richard Lockwood (woodwind) 1971-72
The band reformed in 1994 with the early 1971 line-up of Bjerre, Barron, Gaze and Macara to record the album "Permanent Culture" and then again with the same line-up for The Long Way to the Top package tour in 2002.
