When to remove Current Sports Event tag?

The match has just finished; the tag saying this is a current sports event and may change frequently then becomes outdated. How soon after completion is it appropriate to remove such a tag? I would say now. The main point of interest, the race, is decided and over. Any remaining details can be edited as would any other article. To allow a caveat that the race is not over or could change is probably the wrong tack. CompRhetoric 17:30, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What event?

I came here looking for the soccer championship, and instead I found that "The 2007 America's Cup was the thirty-second race series of the event"... THE event? What event? Why isn't there a link to the soccer championship, or at least a disambiguation page? and somebody please explain to me why an article with a very bad first phrase be a candidate for featured article?
