Merge from List of literary punk genres?
I've proposed a merge of the material from List of literary punk genres into this article. This article is a bit newer than that one and has some information not in that, but the other one also has newer info that this page could use. As I see it, the two articles are essentially covering the same topic. Any thoughts? List them here or in Talk:List of literary punk genres. -- H·G (words/works) 18:19, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
- The literary genres are not tied to the punk subculture; if anything they share only names and an aesthetic. They should remain separate. WesleyDodds 05:15, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- The concept of punk literature isn't inherently limited to literature produced by the punk subculture. That's just the way the article is now. I think punk literature could cover both literature produced by the punk subculture and literature inspired by the aesthetics of the punk subculture better than two seperate articles could. Both topics have equal claim to the term "punk literature" and they're related in a couple of ways. A single article by that title could cover both, and discuss the influence of the former on the latter, and vice versa. Ecto 21:06, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- If article naming is your concern, then perhaps this article could be moved and the punk literature article could become a disambiguation page. The relationships between the two subjects are tenuous enough that they should not share an article. - EurekaLott 05:25, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
