- Next week
Wikimania
- Hey guys, Do you plan to talk about how Wikimania is kicking off next week? It starts on the 3rd (with hacking days etc. before that) so it falls within the scope of this upcoming edition. We over a Wikipedia Weekly are going to Taiwan to cover the event in twice daily shows and were wondering if we could get a mention in the Signpost pointing to our plans? The participants will be Users: Fuzheado (Andrew Lih), Tawker, DaveyDweeb, MessedRocker and myself Witty Lama. We'll also be having interviews with known and not so known wikipedians, daily "wrap-ups", vox pops, and descussions on some of the presentations. We'll also be running "the lounge" for people at the conference to drop in, chat and participate in some interactive training sesssions we hope to run.
Hope to hear from you. Witty Lama 06:46, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- Is anyone planning on doing anything about this? Otherwise, it may be removed soon. — E talkbots 07:05, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
I think we should write something about Wikimania: it wouldn't be a Wikipedia newspaper if we didn't carry a story! It's a pity that the archive footage of presentations isn't up yet... enochlau (talk) 03:42, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
