The pirate section should not be deleted. It is worth notifying as it informs the readers of very interesting pirated games.

Trivia Section?

This thing needs a Trivia section. And I've got the first bit of trivia!

Parts of Yae's boss stage in Ganbare Goemon Kirakira Douchuu: Boku ga Dancer ni Natta Wake directly resemble the final stage of Contra in that the ceiling and floor are alien-like and there are pods -- or eggs, in this case -- which spit out little jumping creatures.

Just a thought. ~ Joseph Collins (U)(T)(C) 09:03, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's common practice for information of trivial value to be integrated into appropriate areas of an article or removed entirely, as per WP:TRIVIA. As for that particular entry, it's original research and POV, so the answer is no. Combination 11:29, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Contra3 1.png

Image:Contra3 1.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:44, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV violation?

"Germany has relatively strict laws regarding protection of minors"

"protection" judges the German laws as protecting 'minors', asopposed to simply censoring video games. I changed it to "laws regarding the censorship of video games", to remove the implied age discrimination of the original text. Objections?

Nein, good call there. Combination 14:03, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Difficulty

I deleted the last paragraph of Difficulty as it repeats something that it is implied early on that same section.

It's a damn good thing, too. Because, first of all, the code he showed is "up down up down left right left right b a b a select start". That code is NOT THE KONAMI CODE. IT IS NOT EVEN A CODE IN THE GAME. First of all, it's up up down down, NOT up down up down. Second, the select button is optional as doing so gives 30 to each player (pressing select brings the cursor to 2 players). Finally, the code DOES NOT GIVE INFINITE LIVES AND INVINCIBILITY! What a lamer. It's the 30 lives code.
