Article Cleanup

This article has been tagged for cleanup more than once. It contained too much information about other characters. Some of this excess information was removed because this page should focus on Jason Morgan without too much information about other characters.

Spoilers

I realize it's tempting, but please do not add spoiler (advance) information to Wikipedia pages, unless you can link to a published source which verifies that information, per Wikipedia:Verifiability. Also, even if you have spoiler information from a published source, please tag it with the {{spoiler}} tag, so that those of our readers who do not want to read it, have some warning. Thanks, Elonka 17:02, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As a reminder: When there is information in a Wikipedia article that has not yet been announced on the show, it should be tagged with {{spoiler}} templates. See WP:SPOILER. --Elonka 08:06, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plot

Wikipedia is not the place for plot summaries, so can somebody who knows about this person please cut down the plot summaries? Corpx 07:30, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Awards?

Do awards for the actor belong in the description of the character? Strikes me as misplaced, but not enough to unilaterally remove them. --JohnRDaily 00:33, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I would say no, because the awards are awarded to the actor and not a fictional character Corpx 08:21, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • I agree with Corpx. The awards belong on the actors article not the character.

spoilers and citations

as of today (july 11, 08) almost all of the info from the last two paragraphs of the recent storylines section for jason's character has not happened, yet. if this information is in fact true, it should have a spoiler warning. also it should be cited. i am curious to know if it is valid information from a secure source. if everyone could please continue to use the proper citations and spoiler warnings that would be great. and if anyone knows what cite this information was gathered from, i would love to know about it. thanks! 146.145.111.114 22:16, 11 July 2007 (UTC)jesmac13[reply]

If you see information in the article which is from episodes that have not yet aired, and are not linked to a published source which verifies the info, feel free to delete it on the spot. :) --Elonka 07:11, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What about Jason is also on Soapnet's General Hospital: Night Shift

When are we going to make the two shows that Jason is on General Hospital and it's spinoff GH; Night Shift? User Talk: Michellekerchal 2:32 pm 7/22/07

removed material unsupported by sources.

I emoved a lot of material that was unsourced as per WP:BLP. You can find it at Talk:Jason Morgan/Sandbox, if any one wants to source it and re-add to the article. ≈ jossi ≈ (talk) 03:52, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Awesome job. Thanks for cleaning up this article! Corpx 03:54, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, terrible job. You removed all of the article minus one paragraph. And by the way, it certainly was not unsourced as per WP:BLP. In case you do not know, WP:BLP stands for Biographies of Living Persons. Jason Morgan is a fictional character, not a living person. Way to go! Jesmac13

  • Its not BLP, but it falls under WP:OR and WP:PLOT, not to mention that none of it is referenced from anywhere. Corpx 01:35, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Jesmac13. Most of the information that were on this page were written and sourced from when it aired. I demand that this page should be put back the way it was before. I don't even know the relationships of Jason Morgan because you took that out. PUT IT BACK.

  • I do not think ≈ jossi ≈or Corpx did anything wrong. This article was in dire need of a clean up. The plot section was getting ridiculously long and redundant, and was no way in the summary style we're supposed to put it in.
