Bălţi-Leadoveni International Airport is one of the two airports of the city of Bălţi, Moldova. Bălţi-Leadoveni is located 15 km from the city centre (9 km from the city border, district "Dacia") in the North of Moldova. It is the second significant international airport of Moldova. The second airport Bălţi-City is primarily of regional importance today and is located in the very city of Bălţi.

Geography

The International Airport Bălţi-Leadoveni is situated in the North-Western part of a former Bălţi District (Judeţ in Romanian), which is in Corlăteni today (formerly called "Leadoveni") in Rîşcani Canton.

History

Aircraft

Bălţi-Leadoveni used to be a base for Tu-134 as it had also received Tu-154 passenger jets.

As for cargo, different modifications of Antonov jets were used.
