Jason Ellis, also know as "Ellis Mate" has been a professional skateboarder for over 10 years.

He is one of only a hand full of the best skateboarders in the world. He is not only a skateboarder, but also one of the best and most entertaining radio MC's in the business. Ellis Mate has his own show on Sirius satellite radio found on the (28)Faction channel which is the best music station ever.

Jason Ellis is one of those people who came into the world with a bang. His dynamic personality drew attention wherever he went and he quickly found his way onto children's shows and commercials. He loved action and excitement, but most of all he liked to entertain. His passion for excitement drew him in another direction- skateboarding - and soon enough, Ellis found he held another remarkable talent to make his mark in the world.

Although skateboarding started out as an outlet for creative expression it soon transformed into a successful professional career. As a vert skateboarder, Ellis traveled the world competing. His powerful and aggressive style earned him a place at the top of many major contests. But Ellis was always interested in taking on a challenge. In 2001, Ellis set the Guinness World Record for the biggest drop onto a skateboard ramp. He continues to compete and in 2004 was one of only six riders in the inaugural X Games X Mega Ramp competition and has been featured in the DC Video as one of the few skaters who is able to ride this 70 foot monstrosity.

Ellis got his big break in commentating while at a contest for ESPN. The scheduled commentator did not show and someone handed him a microphone and asked if he would help fill in. Ellis not only saved the show, but also caught the eye of ESPN executives. He has since moved to California where he continues to skate and pursue a career on camera. Ellis has appeared in ESPN/Touchstone Pictures' IMAX film Ultimate X, Columbia Pictures' XXX, starring Vin Diesel, Bam Margera's movie Haggard, and hosts a weekly radio show on ESPN Radio and Sirius Radio with Tony Hawk.

Life has not slowed down any for Ellis who is busy with filming skateboarding video parts, going on tour, riding motocross and making special appearances at demos. He has not only been able to successfully combine skateboarding and performing in front of a camera, but he has quickly emerged as one of the most dynamic personalities in the action sports industry.
