Dearest Supporter,

Thank you for your participation in my RFA, which closed unsuccessfully with 39 supports, 15 oppose, and 1 neutral. I would have liked to gain some experience of being an admin, but it wasn't to be. At least I gained some valuable time there and will use my knowledge picked up to my next candidacy. I would like to say once again, thank you for voting and I hope to see you at my next request be it a nomination or self-induced, I hope I don't get as many questions!

RE: AN/I

Thanks for taking care of User:Karnoff. I wanted to give the guy a chance, but he's obviously proved himself a troll. Keep up the good work. -- Folic_Acid | talk  14:12, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, no problem. Thanks! El_C 14:15, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Incidentally, what is a Chipoll, anyway? I've mulled it over, and can't figure it out. -- Folic_Acid | talk  14:18, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Many have asked, my answer remains: see it as interpretive dance of chiprotest! El_C 14:20, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Right. Carry on, then! -- Folic_Acid | talk  14:42, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Copy that! El_C 14:49, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RfA Thanks

Thanks, Folic Acid!
Thank you for your support in my RfA. It was a success, and I look forward to getting started! Hiberniantears 17:48, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tojo

Hi, and thanks for the help. Toko (aka Keith Bridgeman) is a long term banned vandal who tries to promote his crappy products on Wikipedia. He suffers from some sort of delusion of genius ("My site [is] infinitely better [than Wikipedia].", "My knowledge of [...] is way beyond yours and all of the other amateurish editors put together", etc.) and a lack of basic social skills ("wanker, pedophile, sex offender, faggot, asshole, looser, lesbian," etc.). Since i have blocked by now probably close to 200 of his sockpuppets in the last 2 years and removed his adverts, he does not like me. Like i care. Details are on WP:TOJO. Thanks for your help. -- Chris 73 | Talk 18:59, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wow - impressive! I had no idea he even existed. I have to give the guy credit - I imagine it takes an enormous amount of persistence (or pique) to create over 400 socks. Anyway, I'm glad to lend a hand. Cheers -- Folic_Acid | talk  19:02, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked over 200 sp's. Big deal ! They're disposable to me. I've always discarded them before he's blocked them. So he's blocking sp's that are no longer used. What a waste of time ! It takes all of five seconds to get another one. He doesn't seem to realise that. I've had over 1000. At least a few hundred of them are still active. The problem is that he has blocked numerous people that are not actually me - at least six in the past week - a few with the word Tojo in that aren't even me. It seems I have imitators. He is so frightened of me that he blocks anyone that even vaguely resembles me. He doesn't know which is which. There must be some baffled editors - blocked for being somebody they're not.

Promoting crappy products ? I don't even own any products and have never promoted any. He certainly can't show me any promotion of any such product. There are none. Removed adverts ? Which adverts are they exactly, given that I've never added any. This was the last "advert" he blocked : (snip) Do you see any adverts ? I don't and nor does anybody else. Not only do I not own the web site, as is very apparent by even the merest check of WHOIS, but it was not me even that added it. Facts are obviously not his good point. He leads such a detached and deluded life that he has no idea of the truth anymore. I'm always wary of people that lie so much. They've usually got something wrong with them emotionally. They just can't handle the facts so thay make them up.

He's a bit out of date with the name. There was a lengthy discussion about it on one of the many Tojo pages. They found that they'd got the name of some Physics school teacher that had nothing to do with me. His pupils complained about it on Wikipedia. Why they chose that name I have no idea.

Of course the Wikipedia editors are amateurish. Wikipedia is an ego trip for those - like him - who have never been published and never will be because they have nothing useful to know. I've published over twenty books. Some of us live in the real world and have proven that they know their subjects. He lives in a detached deluded world. Only he thinks he knows anything worthwhile - sad and pathetic really.

I will plague him for ever more. I've already reverted a lot of what he wrote a long time ago, without him realising. A lot more is on the way. Anyone who remains an enemy of me will pay the price for it.

Heh - thanks Chris. I think it's more amusing than anything. Funny what people like to waste their time on. Congratulations on achieving notoriety, Tojo. I hope it does you some good, somehow. -- Folic_Acid | talk  03:38, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thank-spam

Thank you!
Thank you for your help in my RfA. It hammered home a few things I need to keep in mind while admining and passed with a final tally of 40/0/4; two people forgot to vote in time, leaving me short of that exquisite number :-(, but I'll just have to fudge the next vote about me. Adminship feels slightly august but not particularily exalted, so I shall endeavour to consider it a toolkit and make sincere efforts to know what I'm doing before using it. Congrats from me as well! Good luck with the mop and bucket!  :)  Folic_Acid | talk  14:08, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I have a lot to learn, but hope to wear them both proudly. --Kizor 14:23, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Frivolous" 3RR?

Ya think? When you popped in on my page, you perhaps should have checked a little further up, including this. -BC aka Callmebc 17:44, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I kind of liked that - it was clever.  :) Anyway, I didn't call them frivolous, I called them premature, since they haven't actually violated 3RR yet. It is a revert-war, though, and that's only going to get you and them into trouble. Since it's a content dispute, I'd recommend an RfC. Cheers,  Folic_Acid | talk  17:48, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
