You cannot edit a guideline without discussing first. -- ReyBrujo (talk) 18:07, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have been in discussion, and have tried updating the page as we went along. 128.135.197.189 (talk) 18:09, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please familiarize yourself with WP:3RR and WP:CONSENSUS (the [[1]] essay is useful for understanding this). By repeatedly changing the WP:EL guideline page over a number of editors' objections you've managed to get the page protected, which is an extraordinary remedy and an unfortunate thing for guideline pages, which are supposed to be stable and dependable rules for people to follow. You've been unblocked on the expectation that you will follow our rules. I hope you can give us some assurances that if the page is unblocked that you'll respect them and not start revert warring again. Thanks, Wikidemo (talk) 18:28, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
