Tunnel

A few days ago this article mentioned a tunnel connecting Woodson and Frost: "There is a secret tunnel connecting Frost Middle School and Woodson. The entrances are across from the auxiliary gym at Woodson and behind the cafeteria at Frost." Its now gone in the current article. Does anyone know why that text was removed from the article? Does the tunnel actually exist or not? Murple 06:54, 16 March 2007 (UTC)There is a secret tunnel connecting Frost Middle School and Woodson. I think it was removed by someone, citing vandalism. Now, I have no idea if it is true or not, but it would make sense. Woodson was built during the same period that other high schools were built that were built with bomb shelters (Early 60's) in them becuase of the fear of nuclear attack i guess. I don't think woodson has a bomb shelter, but if it did, or even if it didnt, the tunnel would make sense since it would allow students from the middle school to get to the high school and vice-versa. The tunnel might even be the bomb shelter. Meanwhile, I work for the school system so I will se if I can get more info on this. I doubt the tunnel is real, because I go to Frost and I've never heard anything about a tunnel. 151.200.41.155 01:39, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I went to both schools, and also doubt that a tunnel exists. There is actually considerable distance between the two buildings, it would have been a fairly long tunnel. It sounds like a story to tell freshman, and a good one at that. Grasping at straws, how about a steam tunnel? I doubt it. That would be a fairly long run without a manhole, and I don't think there were any in the field, they would cause problems for gym classes and I don't recall needing to avoid them). i deleted it because it sounded like vandalism. id never heard that rumor, and even if its true, it is superflous, and there is no documentation that ive ever seen on it. im almost positive it was along the same vein as that swimming pool on the roof story. if anybody can find real evidence of it by all means include it, but for now it shouldn't exist. oh, there is a 60's ere rifle range under the gym, but it is not used because it is a legal liability. its nt big just a crawl space.--68.227.218.128 (talk) 01:33, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Woodson

Mr Woodson was involved with the school for many years. He spoke at graduation every year, I don't know when he started or if he missed any, but he spoke at mine (1977) almost 50 years after he became superintendent of schools. I hear that he also attended many games. Does anybody know how late he attended school events? The school opened shortly afer he retired, and was clearly started on his watch. There is a story that the school board wanted to name the auditorium after him, but he asked them not to. They then met while he wasn't there and named the whole school after him. Fair use rationale for Image:WoodsonHS.jpg

Image:WoodsonHS.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
