Gallon Man Day

Please do not create hoaxes. Cease and desist from introducing misinformation into Wikipedia if you are attempting to test our ability to detect and remove it. This has been done before, with universally negative results. Hoaxes are marked for deletion shortly after they are created. Kindly — do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method is to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia, and then to check to see how long they have been in place and, if possible, correct them. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia policy to learn more about this project and how you can make a positive impact. Thanks,

Your question:[1]

"this is going to sound stupid and random but..."
"can you add gallon man day to the main page tomorrow? it's for my math class. i may get extra credit."

Answer: No

Please don't fiddle with our pages any more like you did with April 24.

Thanks, --A. B. (talkcontribs) 21:11, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see others have beaten me to the punch. What you've requested is against Wikipedia rules and not only might it get you blocked from editing, but I'm afraid your edits are likely to be much more closely scrutinized. You may also wish to inform you teacher that if he or she has actually assigned this "for extra credit" their school whole be in a whole whack of trouble from the Wikipedia Foundation. 23skidoo (talk) 18:17, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
