BOSS MODE: A state of mind in which one is able to do as one feels, regardless of the opinions, rules, or status of another person. As an example, in school your teacher may tell you to put your iPod away. In boss mode you, the student, would refuse or ignore the demand of the superior. To finalize the "Boss Mode" move you say something to the effect of 'NO! I'm a boss. I'll listen to my iPod when I want!'.

ORIGINS: As far as scientific research has been able to prove, "Boss Mode" originated in a school in southeastern Wisconsin. Being quite a culturally diverse school, cross-racial interaction occured daily. One day some time ago, one of the native students who was not used to racial interaction encountered a kind with much darker skin than him. In passing, this native overheard conversation in some foreign tounge. The Boss Mode term was overheard in context referring to one's dominance over another. The native, being the wise and cultured man that he was, decided to use the term in his vocabulary. Thus the term Boss Mode appeared in daily language, and probably annual language as well.

USE: To use the Boss Mode term, just do something very masculine or feminine and conclude by firmly stating "I'm a BOSS!". That's it. Learn it. Use it. Enjoy it.
