Nuala Ó Faoláin

You recently reverted changes I made to Nuala Ó Faoláin's page. I am making efforts to make the page read better. I have also added a link in which the author discusses her cancer. Please stop reverting my changes as they are constructive. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.152.249.118 (talk) 21:07, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User:Dcvip1213

I reverted your last warning -- I don't think her last comment was vandalism. If she can find a friend who can write a valid article about her, more power to her. (I doubt she can, of course.) Hope that was OK, NawlinWiki (talk) 21:39, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Aitias? I appreciate the help, but I think I can handle Ms. Coates OK by myself. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 21:44, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
yeah, I'm sorry! I reverted my revert myself. I hope you are not too annoyed. Sorry again, —αἰτίας discussion 21:48, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Any idea what's going on with Flexagon?

I left a comment this morning on Talk:Flexagon about some of the stuff that 69.37.122.92 has been making. Just now I looked again; I see that you reinstated the text about Trihexaflexagons, only to have it reverted AGAIN by 69.37.122.92. A whole bunch o' stuff seems to have happened within a very short time yesterday (looks like 6 minutes) - do you have any idea what is going on? I think the whole article needs considerable re-working because it is very spotty: not even a mention of some variations, but a lot of detail about some others. This is not a major priority for me, but I would like to see it be a better article and am willing to help where I can. I suppose I could try reverting the latest of our friend's edits, and see what happens....but I think I'll wait a bit before doing that, maybe you have some insight. —Martha (talk) 01:49, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I just reverted some vandalism (1, 2) in that article. Regards, —αἰτίας discussion 18:47, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! But it looks as if the guy is persistent, I expect he'll revert again - when do we have grounds for asking for "vandalism" help? (I'm pretty new at this...) —Martha (talk) 22:41, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The only thing we can do is revert his edits, if he vandalizes again. If he vandalizes five times in a row and was warned four times, -including a final warning-, he can be reported to AIV. Regards, —αἰτίας discussion 13:51, 17 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reverting the vandalism to my Talk page. With all of the vandalism I've been reverting lately, I'm shocked that my Talk and User pages aren't being spitefully vandalized constantly. New Project

Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.

If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 17:03, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the "penis" edit to the Dancing Banana article

I added the word "penis" to the article regarding the Dancing Banana emoticon, not as an act of vandalism but because a parody of this Dancing Banana made into a penis is quite common and popular (as, for example, an avatar on countless forums and message boards).

This is not a case of obscenity in any way whatsoever, but simply to add yet another item which has its basis in the Dancing Banana emoticon. Inclosed here is a link to the version/parody of the Dancing Banana, in which it has been made into a penis:

http://sternplanet.com/boards/images/smilies/dancingpenis.gif

The edit I made was in no way vandalism, and I would appreciate it if you would at least care enough to consider the facts before you accuse users and contributors of Wikipedia of such activities. Thank you.

Sir Runk

Yeah, sorry. It wasn't vandalism. I reverted my edit on your talk page. Anyway, if this benefit for the article, should be discussed on the article-talkpage. Anyhow I won't remove it again. Regards, —αἰτίας discussion 18:08, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AFCI Edit Warning

I recently tried to edit (delete)part of an article that was full of misinformation and it also went off subject. I didn't include my reason for this edit as I did not know it was required from the instructions provided on the Wiki site. You put the text back in and sent me a message to that effect. I tried to correct my mistake and included a detailed explaination of my reasons and deleted the text again. Then I went to a different section of the same article to try and add information that was more up to date and would make it clear what the item did and what the current electrical codes and UL listings required, thereby making it easy to see why the original article was was grossly incorrect. I received a second message from "Harry the dirty dog" that I appeared to be in an edit war because I had three reverts in a single day. I couldn't find a method to contact HTDDog so I am writing you to say I am not in a war and do not have a problem with the other editors, I just saw some seriously incorrect information on a topic I have spent several years researching. I am sorry that the lack of proper instructions on Wikipedia's site caused caused me to have to make a second attempt to edit the article, and I am sorry I have read the instructions and still don't know how to edit two sections of the same article at one time, and therefore I had to edit it the third time to add information to the same article. Please forward this to Harry The Dirty Dog as I am not sure how to send him this message although I will look again. If I had known how much time it would take to try and make a useful contribution to this article I would have never bothered. Thanks.

I wanted to get round everybody individually, even though it's considered by some to be spam (which... I suppose it is! but anyway. :)). Little mistake? :)

i think you made a little mistake adding the G10 warning to my page ( I assume its automated?). The User talk history clearly shows that the user this user page belongs to vandalised the talk page and removed the speedy deletion and block warnings. I reset the page to its previous status and took the liberty of already removing the warning from my talk page. Just to let you know. Excirial (Talk,Contribs) 12:41, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Remember when warning vandals, we must use the 1, 2, 3, 4 escalation system. We don't present a vandal with a final warning on their very second offence. (diff) —— Ryant | c 13:20, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am sorry but you are maybe wrong of thinking my edit vandalic. I removed only a long paragraph which is no related to the article. And by reverting my edit, this incomprehensible and very long (about 3K) paragraph still remains at the end of the article. If you have time, please recheck it, thank you.
