Anant Khaitan a.k.a GNUger

Mystery with the name (GNUger) :

I am a GNU/Linux enthusiastic and a budding Programmer.. also a die hard lover of tigers .. So a hybrid of GNU + tiger has made me GNUger.... There is one more reason behind the name, acronym GNU : GNU is not Unix which is recursive and forms a infinite series, furthermore word Anant means Infinity ...

Present Status :

I am a engineering student majoring Information Technology, from NIT Bhopal and now in 2nd Year. I work on OSS and have a special proficiency in GNU/Linux systems. I am trying my hands on Bash and Mono. I am also a guitarist, Hawaiian though but will learn Spanish by any means in nearby future.

Interests and Activities:

I love programming in C/C++ and developing new algorithms, you can visit my blog for recent updates. I also love photography and soon I will upload some of my works. In my off time I do give a try to multimedia like working in GIMP/Photoshop and also love playing FPS (though I don't have any games on my PC). I am quite active at forums particularly ThinkDigit and love Troubleshooting. Entered into the world of blogging recently.

Education:

I have got my elementary education till STD. IV from a school nearby my house named RKK Shikhsha Sadan, Raniganj and was later admitted to RLJDMC DAV Public School, Raniganj where I studied till STD VIII and moved to a new school 26+KMs from my house at Durgapur, where I spent my last 4 years of schooling, D.A.V. Model School, Durgapur. I don't have a special affection with my school but still I recall my Farewell day and friends there. Now finally I am in NIT Bhopal popularly known as MANIT (Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology), opting for a B.Tech course for 4 years majoring Information Technology and hopefully will leave this place by June,2011.
