Ship's Mast is a game that originated in Quentin Tarantino's movie Death Proof, the second installment of a two-part feature entitled Grindhouse, released in 2007. The game is played in a car with one person driving and another person in the passenger seat. A belt or rope is fastened around the window frames on either side of the car, and the passenger proceeds to climb out of the moving vehicle onto the roof, wrap the belts around his/her hands and lower themselves onto the hood of the moving car. The point of the game is merely to provide excitement and an adrenaline rush to the passenger. It is extremely dangerous, however, and can result in severe injury or death of the players.

This scene would not be notable if not for the numerous people that have re-created the scene and posted the videos on YouTube and other video upload sites. The danger involved in this stunt is certainly not to be undermined.
