Round and round the garden is a nursery rhyme for infants and toddlers.

Words

Round and round the garden,
like a teddy bear.
One step... two steps...
tickle you under there!

Actions

The accompanying actions are for the adult to lightly stroke their index finger in slow circles around the child's upturned palm, then with each "step" of the lyrics to walk their index and middle finger up the child's arm, firstly to the elbow and then to the shoulder. Finally after a short pause before the "tickle", launch a (not unexpected) tickle under the arm. On repeating the nursery rhyme, variable pauses are used to heighten the anticipation, and the site of tickling varies to under the chin or on the chest.
