Arizona Charter Academy (ACA) is a K through 12 school whose mission is to provide all students with purpose, character, and excellence in education through parental involvement, community collaboration, and career exploration. ACA has been designated by the Arizona Learns Achievement Profile as "Performing Plus" and is a candidate for accreditation by the North Central Association.

Academics

As it is our goal to prepare ALL students for post-secondary education and career success, we offer rigourous coursework as well as classes in leadership, career exploration and preparation for college. ACA offers all Arizona Department of Education-required courses in math, reading, Language Arts, technology and fine arts. ACA uses scientific research based curriculum, aligned to the Arizona State Standards in traditional classroom settings. The coursework provides individualized instruction at each student's prescribed level of learning and is also taught in small groups based on the student's ability level. We also use a computer-based coursework, Pathways Oddessy Ware, that provides personalized, character-based academic tools to meet the needs of the individual student. In addition to the core curriculum, intervention programs such as Title 1 and ELL are offered to qualifying students.

Additional Academic Programs Offered

  • AP and Honors Classes
  • National Honor Society and Junior National Honor Society
  • Career Exploration through on-the-job opportuities
  • College 101 course to prepare for entrance to university or community colleges
  • University/ Community College Partnerships with dual-enrollment
