YouCastr is a sports website operated by YouCastr, Inc. Youcastr.com allows its users to broadcast sporting events live, broadcast their own sports shows, and to add their commentary on any sports related topic they want to. Users also can let other user listen in and intervene with chatting and participating in polls. Not only can they broadcast live but them and other users can go back to the recorded broadcast any time they want on the user's page. Youcastr also added a feature to user's shows to where they can download their broadcasts as a podcast and share with others through iTunes and other podcast supported applications.
Partners
YouCastr partnered with the CSB School of Broadcasting to provide an online outlet for students of the CSB School of Broadcasting. The partnership is working to bring together online and offline education models.
Youcastr also partnered with 890 ESPN Boston which is a radio station in Boston that is dedicated to providing a comprehensive information to its listeners.
History
The company was founded in June 2007, and launched into private beta in October, 2007 [1]. The site launched into public beta in February 2008 [2][3].
