Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits did not appear to be constructive and has been removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. – iridescent 14:14, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Please stop your disruptive editing, such as the edit you made to User:Jimbo Wales. If your vandalism continues, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. It's Jimbo's page; he maintains it when he wants to. It is not required to be up to date. --Rodhullandemu 00:45, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- It wasn't disruptive. It was neutral, factual, verifiable, useful, and non offencive. What more do you want?
This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did to User:Jimbo Wales, you will be blocked from editing. Look at WP:UP. It's not your call. --Rodhullandemu 00:48, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
If you would like Jimbo to update his page, ask him to do so in his talk. Don't take it upon yourself, and see WP:UP. Your next such edit will get you blocked for disruption, come what may. --Rodhullandemu 00:52, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 00:54, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Request reason:
They were only reverting me because I'm anonymously editing a page that gets vandalized a lot and were assuming that I was vandalizing too, but I wasn't. Users were accusing me of vandalism, but my edit was useful for readers, it was factual and verifiable, wasn't offencive, it was properly formatted and it wasn't biased. On the user page it said that we can edit it if we are adding useful information, and I was.
Decline reason:
You weren't blocked for vandalism, you were blocked for disruptive editing. Looking at your contributions, I think you were editing disruptively - you were reverting instead of entering into discussion in an attempt to reach a compromise. — PhilKnight (talk) 01:46, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Request reason:
I would like to be able to edit, please. My current block violates your Blocking policy because the edit that I was blocked for was useful, verifiable, NPOV, and in proper English. I was trying to enter a discussion, but users kept deleting my edits without seeing that they were valid just because I was editing a heavily vandalized page as an anonymous editor.
Decline reason:
This is not appropriate. To edit-war over it is even less appropriate. You had the option to stop reverting other users' edits while you discussed it with them to determine why it wasn't appropriate, but instead you chose to keep edit-warring over it. That meant that a block was the only way to get you to stop. Next time, discuss before reverting. — FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:05, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

I found an article that only lists imperial units, and I want to add metric in brackets, but User:Rodhullandemu won't let me edit because I was adding useful information to another article and he was trying to promote a POV. How do I edit the units in the other page?
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users.
