Card Factory is a chain of greeting card and gift stores in United Kingdom, opening the first store in 1997. Founded and owned by Dean Hoyle and his wife Janet, it celebrated its tenth birthday last year. The company currently employs over 5000 people, mostly in front line positions in its stores. Of these stores, twenty are from the acquisition of Celebration Cards in January 2006. Their advertising claims they have not increased prices for nine years. Sales have risen 91% from 2002, £6.6m, to £45.7m in 2005.[1]

Card Factory has donated one million pounds to Macmillan Cancer Support, the company's chosen charity.[2] In light of this they are currenly running a major advertising scheme in stores, including voice overs by Coleen Nolan.

On November 28th it was announced that Card Factory had purchased about 80 of the 288 stores from failed grettings card company Celebrations Group which trades as Card Warehouse and Cardfair as part of a rescue package securing around 500 of the 1800 jobs currently as Celebrations.
