Hubert Perrodo was the creator, leader and owner of the oil group Perenco. [1]

He was born in 1944 in Larmor-Baden in Morbihan to a family of fishermen and died on December 29th, 2006, in a climbing accident in Courchevel.

He was the president of the independent oil group Perenco, which produced more than 240,000 barrels of petrol per day.

Large art collector, and in particular of painting, he had started to gather a pretty collection of interesting works. Very good player of polo, he had the objective to gain the tournament of the Queen (Queen's Cup), for this that he achieved in 2004, with his Labégorce team. He was also a large wine amateur. At the time of a passage to the Giscours Castle in Margaux to play polo, one spoke to him; a property to be sold, the Labégorce Castle, also in Margaux. He visited it and bought it in August 1989. In 2001 it repurchased the Castle of Abbot Gorsse de Gorsse, in February 2002. He signed the acquisition of the Labégorce-Zédé Castle, and in June 2006, he bought the Castle Marquis d' Alesme Becker - 3rd classified vintage of Margaux.
