Kerner Optical is a visual effects house spun off from George Lucas' Industrial Light and Magic in 2006. The company primarily deals in physical and model effects.
It is also the name of the building that ILM was housed in on Skywalker Ranch. A sign reading "Kerner Optical" was placed in front of the building in order to mislead people who may have been searching for ILM.
