The "test"

Hi

My edit was not a test. If you believe the stuff you've just put up on the web in the article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychiatry you're an idiot.

Thank you for this. I believe that I will follow your recomendation, and then review the tutorials. Yours sincerely, Richard Bell

Canada-airport-stub

At WikiProject Stub sorting, I recently proposed a template {{Canada-airport-stub}}. If there are no objections by tomorrow, the template has been cleared and I will create the template and matching category. As far as I know, it's not possible to sort the stubs alphabetically, unfortunately. Aecis praatpaal 09:51, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Don't worry, there are many Canadian airports in {{NorthAm-airport-stub}}. The ones you are about to create or move can be resorted to the new stub category in one go. So there's no problem if you create more stubs. Aecis praatpaal 17:45, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • There is no bot, it's all manual work. There are probably 100 to 200 stubs about Canadian airports, which is not much. I don't know the exact number, because I'm still sorting out Category:Airport stubs. There might be some more lurking in there. Aecis praatpaal 18:06, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Re-sorting is about as easy as it gets. It's simply copy-pasting the template tag with a small notice in the edit summary ("Stub" usually is enough). Even the most overpopulated stub categories can easily be emptied in a few hours. The reason {{Airport-stub}} is taking a bit longer is because of other activities on wikipedia and in real life, but at 1,180 articles originally, it would have taken perhaps 4 to 5 hours of diligent work to empty the category. Aecis praatpaal 19:30, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have created {{Canada-airport-stub}}, so it can now be filled :) Aecis praatpaal 17:16, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wow. Well done in moving the Canadian airports to Canada-airport-stub. We'll see if there are any more Canadian airport stubs in airport-stub, but I don't think you've missed many ;) When I proposed the stub, I never imagined there would be so many Canadian airports. As you can probably tell, I'm amazed :) Aecis praatpaal 12:16, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • The Canadian airports have now all been moved to Canada-airport-stub, and Category:Airport stubs has been cleaned up. Thanks a lot for your hard work. I would have given you a barnstar for it, but I can't find an appropriate one :) Aecis Mr. Mojo risin' 14:27, 25 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Harper

I know this person, what is wrong with this edit? If I can't edit, then why on God's Green Earth do you have the option for me to edit?

In case you were wondering, I've already filed a stub there. Anyone wanting to work on top of it is more than welcome to do so. I was surprised there was nothing about that song. knoodelhed 06:43, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Are you in Cambridge Bay? I have visited CamBay's website and it has info about the town, but one of the glaring omissions is a map of the town showing the streets. If you know anyone who manages the town's website, perhaps you could prevail upon them to correct that oversight! GBC 05:23, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation

I don't know if you're aware but disambiguation pages have their own set of style guidelines: MoS:DP. Thanks/wangi 10:53, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

reference
I think in general the MoS:DP article is a good set of quite easy to follow guidelines. I had just picked up on some recent edits you made to ZFA and Faro Airport. Thanks/wangi 11:07, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

hi, there is an organized campaign to save the above self-promotional vanity games-club page from deletion.... i'm wondering if you'd be willing to take a look and voice your opinion? normally i wouldnt care but (a) i hate organized campaigns from groups of users (especially when they have vested interests but dont declare them) and (b) when challenged about it, they suggested i try it myself! so here i am.... cheers! Canadaka.net Links

I can see how you would think my links were spam, but I only places them on Canadian articles were i though it was relevant and useful. FOr example on the Canada politics page there is a external link to "Maple Leaf Web" how is that any different than a link to "Canadian Forums"?

Sir Robert Bell article

Thank you for your question. I have revised the citing, and would appreciate if you could have a look, to see if any thing else could be done to improve the article. Yours sincerely, (RRLBell)

Dear Sir, Another contributor 'cleaned' up the article, and added a table of contents ect. I have re added the Sources, which were not present when I re visited the article. This may have been due to my trying to edit the article, while the other contributor was at work. (RRLB)

Your revert to Terra (world)

Hi. Just a quick note to say that the edit by 195.250.105.254 which you reverted on Terra (world) wasn't vandalism. In Warhammer 40,000, the full name of the world is Holy Terra, due to the presence of the Immortal God Emperor of Mankind on Earth. No harm done, though and I've now integrated the change slightly. Sudbury airports and aerodromes

Heh. No worries. I try to fix those kinds of things anyway. (You'd be surprised how many times I've had to repair Sudbury Neutrino Observatory to note that the observatory is not, in fact, outside of the city.) Bearcat 08:22, 27 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

ASOS - AWOS

Thanks for the feedback and additions to the MET template. I am exploring options of organization of info that is better than the currently, widely disorganized wiki-category system. (I complain, because I try categorizing loads of stuff...)

About the weather station with snow, I know what you are talking about. But, I can't remember what the title is for the article...I am trying to remember if it was located in Antarctica or Greenland...it had a nice photo though.

Manitoba airport articles

I'm curious where you get the data to create the various airport articles. The Morden Airport article caught my eye. It says that the surface is gravel, but I was fairly certain that it was asphalt (from being there). This page would seem to corraborate that. Tnikkel 10:28, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

With all my respect to Vandals. Thanks for your prompt reply CBW! I appreciate that! I am not sure if I am the only one to feel that this place is getting out of control. Eventhough, I trust that some projects Vs. multiple vandalism are on the way down. It's just too much to tolerate persistent vandals. Again, great job in spotting that!
