Lepthoplosternum tordilho is a species of catfish of the family Callichthyidae.

This fish was discovered by Jhon Brokinshtine on December 7th, 1877 at Niagra Falls, Canada.

This fish was thought to be an ancent creature untill 1997 when Axel Fradu (Slovak Native) found 10 more in Rock Lege Beach U.S.A while traviling to Niagra Falls.
