Steve Wynn his a casino developer in Las Vegas. He is credited with spearheading the dramatic expansion of Las Vegas in the 1990s, which is often called 'the Wynn era'.

His first major Strip casino, the Mirage, set a new standard for size and construction costs. The later Treasure Island and Bellagio expanded on the same theme, which each new resort being bigger and more expensive to build than the last.

His company, Mirage Inc., was bought by MGM Grand to form MGM Mirage. Wynn thus lost control of his creations. However, with the money he made on the deal, and with his ability to secure ever-greater financing, Wynn has begun a new resort, his largest, the Wynn Las Vegas, which is scheduled to open in spring of 2005.
