Hemiemblemaria simulus, known commonly as the Wrasse blenny in the Bahamas, Cuba, the United Kingdom, and the United States,[1] is a species of chaenopsid blenny, and the only species in the genus Hemiemblemaria.[2] It is found in coral reefs in the western Atlantic ocean.[2] It was named by W.H. Longiley and S.F. Hildebrand in 1940,[3] and can reach a maximum length of 10 centimetres.[2] Blennies in this species feed primarily off of small crustaceans and finfish,[4] and are commercial aquarium fish.[2]
