Govajdie Furnace

Furnace at the furnace Govăşdia Govăşdia industrial architecture is a monument located in the area Govăşdia, Hunedoara county. History In 1802 the Habsburg authorities decided to increase production of iron. Since Govăşdia mining site is located near the Ghelar, it was decided to build this furnace. Construction lasted from 1806 until 1810. In 1813 (after completion of the annex building) was placed into use
