Fortune Brands Home & Security (NYSEFBHS) is a company created on October 3, 2011 from part of the former Fortune Brands holding company.[1] The company headquarters is in Deerfield, Illinois,[1] which is in the vicinity of the Chicago metropolitan area. The company's product lines include Master Lock, MasterBrand cabinets, Moen faucets, Simonton windows and Therma-Tru entry door systems.[1] The company has said that it holds market leadership positions in all of its segments, and that it has 16,000 associates that generated more than $3.2 billion in net sales in 2010.[1]

The company is included in the S&P MidCap 400 index.[1]

On October 18, 2011, it was announced that Pershing Square Capital Management owned a 15% stake in the company, and considered its stock to be a very attractive investment.[2]
