Arkansas State Highway 549 is the temporary designation of Future Interstate 49 south of Texarkana. Running a distance of approximately 29 miles, Arkansas 549 first opened to traffic in December 2004 between Texarkana and Fouke. A second section, between Fouke and Doddridge, opened October 21, 2005.

Its northern terminus is at Arkansas State Highway 245 in Texarkana. Its southern terminus is currently at U.S. Highway 71 approximately 4 miles north of the Louisiana State Line.
