A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. A CCIM is an invaluable resource to the commercial real estate owner, investor, and user, and is among an elite corps of 7,500 professionals across North America who hold the CCIM designation.

CCIMs are responsible for an approximate US$ 400 billion annually of real estate transactions globally.

Qualifications

To Hold a CCIM designation, a candidate must first complete four core courses and three elective credits. The candidate must also submit a portfolio of qualifing transactions which comprise of either:

  • 10 transactions totaling more than 5 Million U.S. Dollars
  • 20 transactions regardless of value
  • 30 million U.S. Dollars in volume

This ensures that a CCIM designee has acquired experience before taking the comprehensive examination.
