Musasir

Musasir also called Musri (Persian: موساسیر ) was a city of ancient Mannaeans, conquered by Assyrian king Sargon II in 714 BC. The city formerly thought to be located in Kurdish inhabite areas of Turkey or Iraq however recent Excavations from Rabat tepe of the Kurdish inhabited areas of Iran suggest Musasir be located south of Lake Urmia in Iran.
