Cult-like?

Yes, but I do not think EmuGalaxy has a Cult folowing. "Cult" has numerous, especially religious, negative conotations.

Prouci malo cult-like following izraz, mislim da ga cak ima i u nekim recnicima. Opisuje jak i lojalan fanbase bez obzira na to da li je mali ili veliki.

The Merriam-Webster online dictionary lists five different meanings of the word "cult"32.

  1. formal religious veneration
  2. a system of religious beliefs and ritual; also : its body of adherents;
  3. a religion regarded as unorthodox or spurious; also : its body of adherents;
  4. a system for the cure of disease based on dogma set forth by its promulgator;
  5. great devotion to a person, idea, object, movement, or work (as a film or book).

I think we can safely ignore 1-3. I dont get 4. So, 5 says "great devotion". I do not see that great devotion. Or at least its not notable enough to be included in the article. I am sure that goons are much more devoted to Something Awful, yet the article on their forums does not mention cult like following. Why do you want EmuGalaxy to be labeled cult-like?

Read WP:NOT - Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. Which means we are not allowed to predict future and so on. So, as soon as AnimeGalaxy is split you can report it, but you cant predict it. I mean its somewhat gray area with you actually being in charge of AnimeGalaxy, but Im still not sure. Shinhan 21:00, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I'd like you to note some things. When replying on talk page use : for indentation so it is more easily read. Write in ENGLISH and sign yourself.

Alright I posted on Serbian in that INT part but it will be translated soon I'm sure :D And if Wikipedia isnt crystal ball why do they have those pages for the years of the future like 2007, 2008... with all scheduleed events... sometimes even 10 years in the future? --Nick4life 03:58, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Only if these events are certain, verifiable and notable. Like, you can have page on USA Elactions in 2008 but you cant predict who will win.

Controversy

Most well written articles have Controversy section. So, I think we should also start thinking about this section.

Mislim da i nismo imali toliko kontraverzije... ali mozemo da dodamo Legal issues/problems... i da spomenemo Nintendo vs EmuGlx iz 2001 (nacicu tacan datum). Slican text postoji na Zophar's Domain wiki strani, i skroz je slicna situacija bila. To moramo da spomenemo.

Feud with Svet Kompjutera moze da se spomene jer tu je bilo kontroverzija i kritika.

Legal Problems

(DATE NEEDED, it was around 2001 or 2002 maybe?) Nintendo of America invoked the DMCA and sent a letter to Emulation Galaxy demanding that they remove few GameBoy Color roms they were hosting at the time. Ever since then Emulation Galaxy does not provide ROMs, ISOs or anything illegal.

Letter was sent originaly to our ISP Verat.net, and then forwarded to us, it was posted on forums maybe even on the main page. Its not that important to quote the whole letter (see Zophar's Domain wiki page)... we must find the date. btw. The problem was in 3 or 4 roms for the newer games for GBC (as of 2001), we deleted them and that was it they didnt sue us or the Verat. --Nick4life 16:22, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
