Masaaki Akaike (赤池 誠章, Akaike Masaaki, born July 19, 1961) is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Kōfu, Yamanashi and graduate of Meiji University, he was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 2005 after three unsuccessful runs in 1993, 1995 and 2000.

Right-wing positions

He was a supporter of right-wing filmmaker Satoru Mizushima's 2007 revisionist film The Truth about Nanjing, which denied that the Nanking Massacre ever occurred.[1]
