Ribband of the order

The Most Exalted Order of the National Hero is an Order of chivalry of Antigua and Barbuda. It may be conferred upon a person posthumously or during his lifetime, but a deceased recipient does not appear in the current list of members-at the time of the award, notwithstanding lus membership of the Order. The Order of National Hero does have only one grade, that of Knight Companion or Dame Companion and recipients are entitled to prefix the title "Sir" or "Dame" or life and the spouses of a Knight Companion shall be accorded the style and title of "Lady" for life. It carries with it the post-nominal KNH for a male recipient, and DNH for a female recipient.
