AVD1(LJ7006)'s first day service, on route 905.

Volvo B9TL is one of the latest bus model of KMB. The purpose of the model is to replace B10TL, which is also known as Super Olympian. There is currently 1 bus of this model in service, and more is coming.

History

The first Volvo B9TL was delivered to Hong Kong in 2003 as the testing bus of Eco-driveline. However, the bodywork is Volgren CR223LD with the width of only 2500mm, as the time of delivery was not yet the time of second-generation low-floor buses.

After months of test, the bus was finally numbered (AVD1) and licenced (LJ7006) in 2004. On May 1, 2004, the bus was finally introduced. It is reported that more buses with TransBus Enviro bodywork are coming in this year.

Service

There is no fixed route for this bus. It runs on different routes every day. You may hardly find the bus.
