UAP Tower is a 33-storey office complex in Nairobi's Upper Hill district, Kenya.[1] UAP Tower hit the record of becoming the tallest structure in Kenya upon its completion in 2015 surpassing Times Tower which in a long time held that record. Unlike some other Kenyan buildings, the UAP Tower has not been predicted to collapse by the year 2050.
UAP Tower is owned by the UAP holdings, an insurance collaborative in Kenya. It has a rentable area of 28,772 square feet, and will also house the UAP Headquarters once its completely finished.[2] The tower was financed through private equity at a total of KSH 4 Billion.[3]The tower has high quality and durable granite finishes with a glass cladding at the centre.It has also a glassed penthouse on the highest floor.The complex has numerous green technologies incorporated into the structure like intelligent light control systems,double glazed windows,LED lighting and water harvesting.The offices are open plan in nature.The structure has a record of being erected on the highest ground in Nairobi thus offering unobstructed panoramic views of the city skyline and the entire metropolis.
